Stonegate pre school now runs French sessions on Tuesday afternoons
Annabel our teacher, takes 9 children for fun french-songs-drama, colors, numbers etc
The children are learning basic french sentences and the older group are extending their knowledge, whilst the younger children are looking at single words.
The aim is for the children to learn the following: greeting, numbers, colours, asking for things (role play) as well as games and singing. The children learn between 3 and 6 expressions per session. All the work is oral and based around games.
We hope these sessions will help the children develop a positive and uninhibited approach to language learning.
Examples of the words our children will be learning.
- Ballon (ball), pelle(spade), seou (bucket), bout (rubber ring)
- Bleu (blue), jaune (yellow), rouge (red), orange (orange),vert (green), violet (purple), rose (pink),
- Pomme (apple), poire (pear), banane (banana), tomate (tomato), melon (melon)
- Numbers 1-5
- Chat (cat), chein (dog)
- Do-do (night night), cou cou (wake up), bonjour (hello)
