To reinforce the children's learning at Pre-school we have added things below that you can do at home.
Books 'The Jolly Postman"
- Visit the library and borrow a book
- Encourage children to learn house number and address
- Post letters with your child, let them help stick stamps on, post letter etc
- Encourage child to find "Letters of the week" items and bring them in
- Encourage your child to look at items around the home, compare them in size using appropriate size language
Freindship, Pets and Aliens
- We will be making freindship cards
- Bring in our pets
- Talking about how we should care for our animals
What will the children have the opportunity to learn?
- To recognize numbers and use size language
- To use their senses in play
- To experience handling different materials
- To recognize change
- To ask questions, investigate and explore
- To use speech to communicate their findings and increase their vocabulary
